My EFC is 8580 which means that my parents to pay 8,580 of my finances and my university won’t give me any financial aid. Is there any kind of outside scholarships grants or loans outside of the college that that I can take out to pay for it all because if I can’t my parents are going to be broke or i’ll just go to community college.

scholarships.com and collgeboard.com are great websites for that. you can personae you searches to fit your situation too.

I am currently in the US Marine Corps and I’m getting out in less then a year. I just started college and I want to prepare for when I get out. I know that I can use my MGIB but I also want to find a Grant or Scholarship to help me with my studies. I am studying Japanese. Thank you for any help anyone has!

My husband and I think it would be a good idea for me to go back to school and finish my bachelor’s.

He said he could transfer his GI bill to me, but in my opinion that’s HIS college money and I want him to be able to use it later bc I know he really wants a degree in physics.

So my question is, are there other options to make college affordable for me? Scholarships for spouses, for example?

Well I can give you a few things:

-Usually what ever state you are in and your husband is stationed there also, you will be able to qualify for instate tuition. Which can save you thousands of dollars right there.

-Check with the base spouses clubs. Both clubs (or the combined one) offer military spouse scholarships. Most of the time, you might have to write an essay and go agaisnt other spouses but it is worth it if you win.

-Check this site out. AER offers scholarships now to stateside spouses instead of just overseas spouses. You don’t need to repay back and you don’t go agaisnt another spouse. http://www.aerhq.org/education.asp

-Make sure and fill out the FAFSA for Pell Grants. http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

-Go to the Education Center and see about taking CLEP exams. You won’t get them for free but the test are cheaper than taking a regular class at a college. Most colleges take the credit but check with your college just to be sure.

Good luck with your education. I am almost done with mine and sometimes it seems hard but it will be worth it.

Ok, currently I am 14, 15 this August, and I need to start raising money for collage. I have nothing saved towards it and I need to start. I’m sure I will get some grants and scholarships but it won’t be enough to go where I wish to go. So is there any place I can get a summer job at?

Culver’s minimum hiring age is 14 with a workers permit.

I called many stores because I am 14 looking for a job. This was the response they gave which makes me happy after looking for so long.

Find a local one go online and apply and go in store to apply or call and ask if they are hiring.

What I did was Google a bunch of business near my home and found their numbers using Google maps or their sites and I called and directly asked if they are hiring and what age do they hire at.

Try local grocery stores, pizza parlors, retail stores, fast food restaurants.

I need some advice to get the ROTC scholarships for the navy or Air Force. I am a junior who has a GPA of 3.6 and I go to a prestigious New England boarding school. How hard will it be for me to get a ROTC scholarship and what can i do to help me.

I won an ROTC scholarship years ago.

The starting point, you want to contact the Professor of Military Science (for the specific military branch) at one of the Universities. Preferably the school you want to get acceptance to. Have them help walk you through the process.

No, there aren’t any but you can apply for a scholarship through the school system.

EDIT: I had to look through my paperowrk to find the name of the scholarship we looked into. It’s the McKay scholarship and it pays for any private school that will accept your child. We looked into this and checked out the schools here in Florida but decided to keep him in the public school system. He’s in Kindergarten now and will have to repeat Kindergaten next year.
Your first stop should be the district school system. They can give you a list of all the programs, scholarships and requirements. Most of the programs require extensive testing to be eligible. You have to be able to prove that your child cannot be taught in a regular classroom setting.

Timothy Good has conducted worldwide research on the UFO phenomenon including interviewing key witnesses and discussing the subject with astronauts, military and intelligence specialists, pilots, politicians and scientists. He has lectured at universities, schools, and at many organizations and has even been invited for discussions at the Pentagon in 1998, and at the headquarters of the French Air Force in 2002. He has acted as consultant for several U.S. Congressional investigations.

Born in London, Timothy Good gained a scholarship as a violinist to the Royal Academy of Music, where he won prizes for solo, chamber and orchestral playing. He played for fourteen years with the London Symphony Orchestra. He has also freelanced as a session player for television dramas, commercials, feature films, and recordings with pop musicians. Among those he has recorded for are Phil Collins, George Harrison, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Rod Stewart, and U2.

Good put forth the contention that the military has been involved in a secretive war with UFOs, and has been attempting to shoot them down for decades. He cited around-the-world plane wrecks, both military and civilian, that took place in 1947, and 1,700 unexplained accidents involving interceptor aircraft between 1952 and 1956. He believes the conflict continues to this day.

Good also spoke about the July 1952 Washington, DC UFO overflights. There were a number of sightings over that summer which included a large cigar-shaped craft, and a hovering object observed by around 500 witnesses that came down so low in the sky that it was said to obscure downtown buildings. He also reported that according to Major Donald Keyhoe, giant craft were observed orbiting Earth at around 79,000 ft. during this timeframe.

Calm-A-Sutra of Tea Scholarship contest.

This is a short film about the benefits of drinking tea, specifically black tea, green tea, oolong tea and white tea.

The film takes place outside a doughnut shop in Downtown Los Angeles. Two undercover cops, Cage and Jackson, are debating about the benefits of drinking tea vs. coffee. Cage, a veteran cop, is skeptical of Jackson, a rookie, about her decision in choosing tea. The benefits of tea are revealed when a foot chase ensues on the mean streets of LA.

Special thanks to my family and friends who supported me and helped me with this film.
