Ok, I am a single mother of a 4 year old girl. Working 10 hour days and going to school at night. Not getting any child support and struggling to get the bills paid. I currently get pell grant that pays for my classes… heres my question.. If I was approved other scholarships or grants, would I get cash back since I already get the pell grant? I’m not trying to sound greedy at all, but I can’t pick up a second job because of my classes, and because I wouldn’t be able to spend any time for my daughter. When I get done with school, I won’t have to worry about it anymore, and thats what keeps me going, but I need something in the meantime.. So can you get both? Thanks

here is a great source to find grants and scholarships i’ve used their services before.. http://www.scholarshipmoms.com/mom-scholarship-programs.html

Im a marine wife. I attended college for 2 years at a local community college before I was married. The last year I failed 2 of my classes due to some financial problems where someone had stolen my bank card and stole all my money. I didnt have money to even go back and forth to college since it was a half our drive everyday just 1 way. I tried to take classes again the following semester & still had trouble keeping up with bills so I dropped my classes. Since it was too late in the semester, is was a fail instead of a withdrawal from the class. I lost my financial aid for college. I tried to apply for a appeal but it got denied. I am going to start college again when we get to my husbans pds this fall. I am financially stable now & ready to go back to college. I was wondering since my financial aid was taken away, can I still apply or receive the scolarships/grants they offer military spouse? Also, can anybody tell me a website with the list of scholarships/grants for military spouses
I dont mooch off the military. I have money put away for college cuz I have been saving. But I am looking out for our life as a married couple and saving as much money as we possibly can. And second of all, I’ve wanted to join the marines. I have even talked to a recruiter and had taken the asvab and did extremely well on it. I had talked to my hubby and he doesn’t want me to join. Whether some people like to believe it or not. It is very tough being a military wife. Maybe not as hard as it is physically for the service memebers, but emotionally for us.
And, I was in the picture before the military was. I didn’t just marry him for the money or benefits. He did this for us to make a life for him self and to support a family which we are planning on having very soon.

The links below have some good info on scholarships & grants. Not sure if your prior financial aid will have an impact on anything now, but no harm in trying. Good luck & disregard what Mona wrote.

Hello and good day.

I was recently accepted into my first choice college, Norwich University (a senior military college), and will be part of the Corps of Cadets. However, my mother would have a hard time paying for it, and wishes for me to go to Texas A&M.

Are there any scholarships that I can apply for to lessen the load of $30k~$40k per year. I’m seeking a US Army commissioning, can’t do the Army ROTC scholarship (the PT test is hard for me right not), and I was never dependent on someone in the military (half-sister was in the Air Force though).

I have a 3.0GPA, a 1580 (520CR, 540M, 520E) on my first SAT and taking my second one tomorrow). Thank you for reading.

Contact your financial aid advisers and or counselors at your college, they will have all the answers that you are looking for!!!

Note, that in “Allegro giocoso, ma non troppo” the “ma non troppo” is overlooked in many performances, but not in this one!

Born 19 April 1926 in Philadelphia, USA
Died 21 June 2002 in Baltimore. USA

Newsweek once called Berl Senofsky a “giant of a man…an American musical hero of Bunyanesque proportions.” Consistently praised for the warmth and beauty of his tone, breathtaking virtuosity, and impeccable musicianship, Berl Senofsky’s artistry has won him the boundless admiration of his colleagues and audiences alike.

Born in Philadelphia in 1926, the son of violinists, Mr. Senofsky received his first music lessons from his father at the age of three. By the time he was six, he had won a scholarship to study with Louis Persinger. At the age of twelve he received a scholarship to the Juilliard School to study with Ivan Galamian, with whom he remained for twelve years. Following military service in World War II, Senofsky made his New York recital debut as the winner of the coveted Walter Naumberg Award. Shortly thereafter, he appeared as a soloist for the first time with George Szell and the Cleveland Orchestra.

In 1955, Berl Senofsky became the first— and only—American violinist to win the prestigious Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition. Since then, he has become a permanent member of the jury for the Belgian competition.

Mr. Senofsky has performed regularly on the international concert circuit. In the United States, he has played with the New York Philharmonic, the American Symphony Orchestra, and the orchestras of Chicago, Los Angeles, and Pittsburgh, among others. His schedule has also taken him to Europe, South America, and the Far East.

In addition to extensive touring, recording, and teaching duties at the Peabody Conservatory of Music, Mr. Senofsky was the founder and prime mover of the American Artists International Foundation, Inc. Established to help prepare young American musicians for international competitions, the organization has made it possible for American violinists to participate in the Queen Elisabeth Competition. In 1983, Mr. Senofsky was invited by the director of the Shanghai Conservatory to start a new school of violin playing; he remained in the People’s Republic of China for three months giving master classes and performances.

Thanks “willie” for pointing me to this LP!

I de-clicked and eq-ed the record myself.
