I got a 3.4 GPA all through school, but being a white male I wasn’t able to get any scholarships. The military paid for my brother’s education and is paying for my sister’s right now. However, my school is currently not allowing recruiters on campus, and the nearest station is 30 miles away. Would Code Pink or some other anti-war group be willing to pay for my education if I listen to them and not join the military?
Dont look for a free ride. Be a man about the situation and call the recruiter.
The recruiter will tell you what they offer, money for education, how the American Counsel on Education will translate military training into college credits. And all the rest of the package.
Then ask your brother and sister what they think about what they are doing in the military.
Dont blame the fact that you are a white male with a B+ GPA, on the fact that you could not get any scholarships. If you want a college education, then you need to figure out how to achieve it. I did 25 years in the army, and I put myself through college while doing it.
The fact that your high school did not allow recruiters, is a direct violation of federal law, and no one pushed the issue. However, that is not the issue.
those hoping to have careers in combat
If so, where can I find a webpage about it
Of course they offers
IWMuseum.main entrance hall.just very few things showed in this video.

Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega steps up his threats of violence against America and their assets in Panama, as his corrupt regime becomes more entrenched in the illegal drug trade. After Panamanian soldiers kill an American officer and brutalize two witnesses, President Bush Sr. takes action. The SEALs gather intelligence and make plans. Their mission – to take down Paitilla Airport, where Noriega kept his private jet. They were to disable the plane and wait for Noriega.
December 20, 1989, the SEAL teams approach from the sea. Minutes before the attack the plans change which force the teams into a deadly ambush. A fierce crossfire ensues leaving four SEALs dead and nine more seriously wounded. Noriega never arrives at the airfield.

My mother refuses to pay for college unless I do exactly what she wants me to do (premed). I’ve entered an art contest that grants scholarship money to the winner… but it’s not likely that I’ll win.
Do you know of any writing/art contests that grant scholarship money?
and don’t tell me to "talk it out" with my mom crap. i’ve tried it.
I need real solutions.
Did you apply for FAFSA? www.fafsa.ed.gov
Check out fastweb.com for scholarships and check out the schools you applied to, they should have scholarships.
Or consider starting at a community college and work part time so you can pay for it. Hopefully if your mom see’s you doing well and being comitted to your studies she will help.
if i get scholarship from the military and have to serve as a trade off, am i ineligible for enlistment in the peace corps after college?
thank you, sorry, let me clarify.
i was reading that the army will offer scholarships for medical school students, paying the whole way, for one year in the service each year paid.
Your question isn’t clear. If you go to college on the military scholarship, then you owe the military 4 – 6 years – whatever the contract says. After college and the military, you can join the Peace Corps, if, as the lady before me said, you didn’t do intelligence work.
The Peace Corps does not want to be known as a training ground for spies, nor as a cover for spies, so they have a list of military specialties that disqualify you. If you’ve ever worked for the CIA, you can’t be a PCV, for the same reason. You can’t go into the Peace Corps from an intelligence job, (for fear it would look like you hadn’t really left your intelligence job) and you can’t go into an intelligence job from the Peace Corps (for fear it would look like you’d used the Peace Corps as training.)
There’s a guy in my church who flew helicopters during Viet Nam and went into the Peace Corps afterwards; he had a normal, non-intelligence job.
I live in Detroit Michigan
