MAGUINDANAO MASSACRE “A GMA LEGACY” – IF GMA HAS ANY POLITICAL WILL, NOW IS THE TIME TO SHOW IT !!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0yevUm5qY4

Please watch these videos. Share them to all your friends, relatives and associates who will help us move to a better Philippines.

Our government officials have forgotten that these money are intended to build schools, hospitals, fund scholarships for deserving students, health care, housing for thousands of families, fight poverty, food for the children…etc They have taken the rights of the poor people to live and survive.

Their human dignity lost as we watch videos on Youtube of children and families eating garbage gathered from dump sites and restaurant garbage bins. Each day is a struggle to survive.

We believe that these videos are helpful. There will be a long list of candidates in this coming 2010 elections.

Some will aim to get their power back so they can continue to live their lavish and wasteful lifestyles at our expense. We must not let this happen again.

“Remember, if you make an informed decision, regardless of who you pick, you are not throwing your vote away.”

2010 will be the year to elect an effective leader who will help move our country to prosperity and better quality of life for every Filipino.

Hope you will help us with our goal. “For a better Philippines.”

Thank you for your support.

Let us make this happen!

I am a 21 male, currently a Junior in college. I am the *6th* person in a middle-class family to go to college or take classes (est. $80K/year income between parents). Because of this, it has become extremely hard to find student loans due to the number of loans we have already taken out. This includes the use of FAFSA.

There are literally thousands of sites out there for scholarships, grants, free money (if there is such a thing nowadays) and everything else to off-set the cost of tuition.

Not that im lazy, but I do not want to spend hours writing random essays in hopes of winning some sort of financial reward. I did this before freshman year and had *0* hits.

Does anyone know of a GOOD site where you can simply APPLY for scholarships/grants/etc.?

YES, I work, but I get paid nothing which would remotely help me in this situation. And my most pressing costs, aside from tuition, are finding funds for a new computer and text books.

move out of your folks home in with another friend ( to get another legal address independently from your folks) and apply for student loans and use the PELL grant

you dont need a new computer- buy a few years old one- get it "cleaned up" and use that

books- buy used ones from other students, via halfbay.com, amazon.com

congrats on furthering your education
good Luck

Will any branch of the military help pay for my college if I sign a contract stating I will put in 1 year duty for them for every 1 year of college they help pay for? i’ve heard this exists? I know people say try for an ROTC Scholarship, which I’ve already done, and did not get one. Relatively speaking, if I don’t get one.

sure.. but you have to serve your time enlisted first before you can get the GI Bill.

they will not pay for your education up front unless you attend a Service Academy or ROTC. . too much possibility of you never actually serving afterward.

Scholarships for Troops is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps troops and military families access higher education through scholarships, textbooks, laptops and computers. We also are the only military charity to bring private support for JROTC and ROTC programs.

Scholarships for Troops programs and grants are made possible solely by the generosity and support of our donors – people like you who want to help wounded veterans, their military families and the familes of fallen soldiers, Marines, sailors and airmen through our military charity.

Go to www.ScholarshipsForTroops.org and help us continue these traditions.

I am in desperate need of money to fund my education, but in the eyes of the government, my parents make too much money for me to get any assistance. I’ve tried scholarships and I never win anything, and I can’t get a job, and I don’t have the heart to steal textbooks from my school and sell them on eBay.

Would the State or whoever it is that gives grant money give money to ME and my girlfriend (but mostly, me) if we were married? Because we’re independent and all?
I do love her, and we thought of it together because we are both students struggling to get by day to day.
I was also laid off from a job at Target, and it’s been so difficult to find one these days.

HOW OLD ARE YOU? AT 24 YOU ARE CONSIDERED INDEPENDENT AND CAN GET FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.

SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME, MY PARENTS MADE TOO MUCH SO I WAITED TILL I WAS 24 AND NOW IT IS FREE.

DONT MARRY YOUR GIRLFRIEND TO SOLVE A PROBLEM, MARRY HER BECAUSE YOU LOVE HER.
