i want to know if i have to claim it?
no. its a federal entitlement. its not even a scholarship. its a benefit bought into up until this very latest change. it will no longer be paid for by the member, it will be automatic.

No – it doesn’t count as income at all. A "taxable scholarship" is one that pays for more than just your classes, but the GI Bill is not considered a "scholarship" in the first place (its a federal grant).
