Find the FAFSA web site online, and talk to the financial advisor in the school you plan to attend. FAFSA is a federal money for college students. If the online application is confusing (it was for me my first time applying), ask the financial aid advisor.

You should also talk to your high school guidance counselor, who might have insight into some scholarships and other grants that the college advisor may not be aware of. This is how I obtained Dollars for Scholars to help me pay for my books.
